VIJAYAPURA: Two men, were brutally murdered in a suspected revenge attack in Kannur village in the district on Sunday night by smashing their heads with stones. The victims were identified as Sagar Belundagi (25) and Ishak Qureshi (24).
The unidentified assailants fled the scene after committing the double murder. Police suspect that the murders may be linked to a previous assault on one Eranagouda from Tammur village, who died a few days after being attacked by Sagar and Ishak two years ago.
The Vijayapura Rural Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
