Three arrested for robbing TN police officer and wife on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway

RAMANAGARA: The Channapatna Rural police have arrested three people for allegedly robbing a Tamil Nadu police sub-inspector and his wife on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Express Highway. The accused were identified as Syed Tanveer, Fairoz Pasha and Tanveer Pasha.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the sub-inspector of Cherambadi police station, Shajin, and his wife were resting in their car near the Lambani thanda on the Channapatna bypass. The accused trio stopped their vehicle, threatened the couple with a knife, and stole 16 grams of gold chain, Rs 10,000 in cash and two mobile phones.

Following the robber, Shajin has registered a complaint at the Channapatna Rural police station. The police have arrested the accused and seized a two-wheeler and deadly weapons from them.
