BELAGAVI: A man allegedly killed his wife, hid the body under the bed and fled the scene at Kamaladinni in Mudalagi taluk of Belagavi district.
The deceased was Sakshi Akash Kambar (20) and the accused is Akash Kambar. The husband is currently on the run and his mobile phone is switched off.
The incident came to light when the mother-in-law returned home after visiting her village. The couple had got married just five months ago. As soon as the matter came to light, the Mudalagi police visited the spot and are investigating the matter.
Preliminary investigations have begun, but the exact reason for the murder remains unclear. The police are working to gather more evidence and track down the accused husband.
