BAGALKOT: Two people have been arrested after trying to kill their uncle by setting them on fire at Akkimaradi village in Mudhol taluk on Monday night.
The victim is Eerappa Naduvinamani (50) while the accused are his nephews Sunil Naduvinamani and Mareppa. They were reportedly angry that Eerappa would come drunk every day and abuse women in the household in vulgar language.
The two men poured petrol on Eerappa and set him on fire. Eerappa sustained severe burns on his face, hands and legs and has been admitted to a hospital. The Mudhol police visited the spot and have registered a case.
