MANGALURU, CHAMARAJANAGAR: In a fresh twist to the alleged mass burial case in Dharmasthala, a second video, reportedly recorded in August 2023, shows the masked complainant Chinnaiah talking about the burials to Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi at his Ujire residence.

In the video, Chinnaiah can be heard talking about burying bodies at a spot, later marked as Point No. 17 during the exhumation. He claimed to have buried over 70 bodies, including a woman from Kerala, near the Gommata Giri. He also mentions burying bodies near the Netravathi river and a body being found in a well behind a primary school.

Meanwhile, Chinnaiah’s second wife, Mallika, who spoke to Public TV at her house at Chikkarasampalayam in Tamil Nadu, said she didn’t know that the meeting was held at Thimarodi’s house when she went there along with Chinnaiah. She said that Vitthala Gowda, the uncle of deceased Sowjanya, took them there claiming some work, and she didn’t know what kind of work it was.

“They took the skull to different places, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bengaluru, and Delhi. Finally, Vitthala Gowda left it at Thimarodi’s house and he gave it to Chinnaiah”, she said.
