City bus services launched in Ramanagara

There was a long-standing demand for city bus services in Ramanagara.

RAMANAGARA: City bus services were launched in Ramanagara town on Monday with Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy flagging off three buses.

The city bus service is expected to help school and college students and office-goers. A demand for city bus services had been pending for several years. Recently, Ramanagara MLA Iqbal Hussain had made a representation to the minister on launching the city bus services.

The city buses will cover a 6-km radius and will connect several wards. Former MP D K Suresh, MLA Iqbal Hussain, city municipal council president Sheshadri and KSRTC officials were present on the occasion.
