TUMAKURU: The Tumakuru town police have registered a suo motu FIR against Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda R Patil (Yatnal) for allegedly making a provocative speech during the Hindu Mahaganapati Shobha Yatra at Nagarakatte last Saturday.
The FIR was registered based on a complaint by police personnel Raghunath. During his speech at the Shobha Yatra, Yatnal had said the 70th case was registered against him at Maddur and had hinted that the 71st case may be registered at Tumakuru.
