KOLAR: Actor, model and bodybuilder and fitness trainer Suresh Kumar Babu (42), who hailed from Kolar and was popular as Kolar’s Mike Tyson, died in hospital following a road accident while travelling between and Florida and Texas in the USA.
Suresh Kumar, who hailed from Gandhi Nagar in Kolar, had visited his hometown recently and taken his wife and children along. He has won several awards and had started a physiotherapy business in the USA. Following the accident, he was admitted to a hospital where he died on Monday (local time).
Suresh Kumar, who used to graze bufalloes as a boy, went on to become a fitness trainer for many celebrities and acted in several movies including ‘Uppi’ and ‘Uppi 2’. He had also won several prizes at various competitions. He was the son of Chalapathi and Muniyamma.
The mother on Tuesday appealed to the government to extend help in bringing Suresh Kumar’s body back to India and also to arrange safe travel of his wife and children.
