Python dies after getting caught in rotavator in Kolar village

KOLAR: A huge python, measuring about 10 feet in length, died after it got caught in a rotavator attached to a tractor for tilling, at H Mallandahalli in Kolar taluk.

The tractor was ploughing the land belonging to one Devaraj where he had cultivated coriander when the python got stuck in the rotavator. On noticing the snake, the villagers immediately called for snake rescuer G V Anand.

However, by the time the rescuer arrived, the python had died. On receiving information, the Forest department staff also visited the spot. Officials said the python was about four years old. The Forest staff and the villagers later buried the snake.
