BENGALURU: Actor Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, who were sent back to jail after the Supreme Court cancelled their bail, were happy outside on bail. The makers of Darshan-starrer ‘Devil’ were also preparing for the release of the song “Idre Nemmadiyag Irbeku” on August 15. Darshan had even posted about it on social media, building up the excitement among fans.
Pavithra Gowda was also going about restarting her business venture Red Carpet. However, their bail was cancelled and they were re-arrested in the Renukaswamy murder case and sent back to prison.
Darshan, who was supposed to celebrate Independence Day with his fans, is now spending it in Parappana Agrahara jail. Darshan, along with Nagaraj, Lakshman and Pradosh, is currently in the same barrack.
Currently, Darshan and the other three accused are in the admission barrack of the quarantine cell. They were given mudde chapati, rice, and sambar for dinner, which Darshan ate. He was seen talking to Lakshman and Nagaraj for a long time, seemingly upset about his situation.
Pradosh, on the other hand, was quiet and didn’t talk much to the other jail inmates, even though they were in the same barrack. He was seen crying late into the night. Darshan was also having trouble sleeping due to back pain and was seen talking to his companions about it.
Meanwhile, Pavithra Gowda was preparing to launch the website and new clothing designs for her Red Carpet brand. She had recently participated in a photo shoot for the new website and was busy preparing for its launch in the third week of August.
Pavithra Gowda has been lodged in the women’s barracks of Parappana Agrahara jail. She had been in tears when she came back to jail again, but remained silent throughout the day. She seemed to be restless the whole of Thursday night.
No visitors were allowed on Friday, and even on Saturday and or Sunday due to holidays. Darshan and his team, who are accused of murder, will not be allowed to meet their family members. The visiting hours have been suspended due to the Independence Day celebrations and weekend. It is likely that Darshan’s and Pavithra’s family members will meet her on Monday.
On Friday morning, Darshan had uppittu (upma) for breakfast, which is part of the prison menu. The other accused, Nagaraj, Pradosh, and Lakshman, also had the same.
Darshan did not participate in the Independence Day celebrations at the prison and seemed to be depressed while all other prisoners, including those under trial and convicts, participated in the celebrations. Prajwal Revanna too kept away.
Darshan and his team are currently in the quarantine section of the Parappana Agrahara prison, while Pavithra Gowda is in the women’s barrack of the main prison. The prisoner numbers assigned to them are Pavithra Gowda-7,313, Darshan-7,314, Nagaraj-7,315, Lakshman-7,316 and Pradosh-7,317.
