BIDAR: An eight-year-old girl, who was playing while her mother was grazing sheep, died after she fell into a deep pit at Dhan Singh thanda (Monappa Nagar) near Indi town in Vijayapura district on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Archana Rathod.
The Fire and Emergency Services were immediately informed and a search was conducted through the night. the personnel fished out the body on Tuesday morning after draining out the water from the pit with the help of an excavator. A case has been registered at the Indi police station.
