Aged man attempting suicide by lying on railway tracks rescued seconds before trains passes by

The unidentified man was lying on the track and asked to move away.

DAVANAGERE: Upset over domestic disputes, an aged man tried to commit suicide by coming under a train on Wednesday evening. However, he was rescued by a resident seconds before a speeding train passed by.

The senior citizen is living with his son in Vinayak Nagar, but was upset with domestic disputes. On Wednesday evening, he was lying on the railway tracks near Devaraj Urs Layout when he was spotted by Virupaksha Belagutti.

Seconds later, a train sped by the spot.

The local resident got the aged man to get up from the tracks and move away and about 30 seconds later, a speeding train passed by.

Later, the aged man’s family was informed and he was taken back home. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media with Virupaksha drawing praise for his act.
