Minor held for anti-national posts on social media, supporting terror groups

KOLAR: Central security agencies and Intelligence officials had detained a minor from Dyavarahalli in Bethamangalal police limits for anti-national activities after it was found that he was constantly posting about terror groups on social media and also repeatedly searching on the internet about such outfits.

The internal security agencies picked up the 15-year-old youth after monitoring his activities. After questioning him for an entire day, he was handed over to the children’s home in Kolar Gold Fields and a case has been registered at the Bethamangala police station for anti-national activities.

The youth belongs to a Muslim family which hails from Ramakuppam in Andhra Pradesh. The family had been living at Medahalli in Bengaluru and had recently shifted to Dyavarahalli in Bethamangala taluk where they were living in a rented house.

The youth, who was earlier working at a chicken shop in Medahalli, had joined work at another chicken shop near Bethamangala only 20 days ago. The police and security agencies are conducting further investigation.
