TUMAKURU: A 56-year-old man was stabbed and brutally attacked with a cricket bat for questioning a youth who was constantly teasing his daughter, at Borappanahalli in Koratagere taluk. The youth, his father and brother have since been arrested.
The victim Girish’s daughter is a Class 9 student and the accused Prithviraj would allegedly tease her whenever she went to school and back home. After she complained to her father, Girish went to Prithviraj’s house to question him.
Prithviraj told Girish that he was in love with his daughter and would kill her if he came in the way. The argument escalated and Prithviraj, along with his brother Thimmegowda and father Hanumantharaya, attacked Girish.
All the three have been arrested and a case has been registered at the Koratagere police station. Girish was treated at a hospital for his injuries.
