BENGALURU: Home Minister G Parameshwara has announced that the towing of vehicles in Bengaluru, which was suspended in 2022, will be resumed. The minister said that vehicles are being parked haphazardly on both sides of the roads, causing traffic congestion, and that towing will be reintroduced to address the issue.
Notably, the towing will be carried out using departmental staff and BBMP vehicles, rather than outsourcing it to contractors. BBMP Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has stated that 10 BBMP vehicles will be allocated for towing purposes.
