After murdering his friend, Ajay called the police and informed the police and later surrendered. The police have registered a case of murder and are questioning Ajay.
Police Superintendent Addur Srinivasulu said Ambarish was working at a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru and on Tuesday, Ajay met him there and requested him to and convince his wife, who had separated from him, to return.
Ajay brought Ambarish in a car to his native Muradi in Kalaburagi where they were joined by some other friends of Ajay. An argument broke out between Ambarish and Ajay following which Ajay and his other friends strangulated Ambarish to death with a piece of wire, the SP said. The police are looking into the role of Ajay’s other friends and also his wife, who was in an illicit relationship with Ambarish, the SP said.
According to the police, Ambarish and Ajay were thick friends and the latter had got married a few years ago. The couple have two children. However, over the last few years, Ajay’s wife and Ambarish got involved in an illicit relationship and she would spend more time with him.
Ambarish’s family came to know about this and they advised Ajay’s wife and her mother to discontinue the relationship. But she continued the relationship and was even prepared to marry him and had even started living separately.
When Ajay came to know about this, he planned to teach Ambarish a lesson and went to Bengaluru with some of his friends. There, he requested Ambarish to resolve his domestic dispute, brought him back to Kalaburagi and murdered him.
