HASSAN: The staff of the KSRTC staged a snap protest in front of the depot in Belur on Monday morning after a driver-cum-conductor attempted suicide in the retiring room alleging harassment by the depot manager.
Harish, a native of Kotiganahalli, consumed poison after turning up for work on Monday. Just the previous day, he had got into an argument with the depot manager Shahji over work.
Harish was first rushed to the taluk hospital in Belur and later shifted to a private hospital in Hassan. Local MLA H K Suresh and police officials visited the spot.
