BENGALURU: A case has been registered against Somasekhar, a history-sheeter and close associate of an MLA, for allegedly smashing the windscreens of around 18 vehicles in Hongasandra.

The incident was reported to the Bommanahalli police station and Somasekhar and three others were taken into custody.

The accused allegedly damaged the vehicles parked on the roadside and threatened the owners. Locals are reportedly intimidated by Somasekhar’s behaviour and have resorted to parking their vehicles only at night.

The damaged vehicles include autorickshaws and goods carriers, among others. This is not the first time Somasekhar has been involved in such criminal activities. He was previously accused of setting fire to an MLA’s house compound and had also caused trouble in Begur a few days ago.

He stalked and had gone to the houses of some youths. He had created a ruckus with his companions and got into an altercation near Garvebavipalya on the day of the RCB final match.
