BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has sought another week’s extension from the Karnataka State Commission for Scheduled Castes as it failed to meet the target for completing a survey of Scheduled Castes and Tribes within the city. The deadline for the survey was June 6, but is still incomplete.

Despite claiming to have completed 54 per cent of the survey, BBMP officials are uncertain about the exact number of households left to be surveyed.

The BBMP officials claim to have completed around 54 per cent of the survey, but are struggling to complete the remaining 1 per cent. They seems to be a lack of clarity on the number of households left to be surveyed.

Residents have reported issues with the survey, including incorrect data collection and technical issues with the scanning process. Over 40 calls have been received by the BBMP helpline, highlighting these concerns. It remains to be seen whether the BBMP will complete the survey within the extended timeframe or seek further extensions.
