MANGALURU: A young couple was harassed by an inebriated men’s group in Birumalegudda, Puttur. The youths took photos and videos of the couple and posted them on social media, further harassing them. They also snatched the girl’s helmet and attempted to assault her, using abusive language.
The couple managed to escape from the group. The incident has sparked outrage, with people demanding that the authorities take action to put an end to the rising trend of moral policing in the district. Now, people are expressing outrage, saying moral policing continues to plague the Dakshina Kannada district.
