KALABURAGI: A medical store and a bakery were gutted after a fire broke out near Vijayapura Cross in Jewargi town in the wee hours on Saturday. The blaze was later put out by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
The fire, caused by an electrical short circuit, destroyed articles worth lakhs. The Jewargi police have registered a case and are investigating.
