Two dead, five injured after speeding goods vehicle falls into open well in Bidar village

The goods vehicle fell into a deep well by the roadside.

BIDAR: Two people died while five others were injured after the goods vehicle they were travelling in fell into an open well by the roadside near Ghodepalli in the taluk on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Lakshmikanth alias Kantharaku (45) of Ghodepalli, and Ravi (18).

On hearing about Lakshmikant’s death his mother Sharadabai (86) suffered a heart attack and died. It is said that overspeeding led to the accident. The Gandhiganj police have registered case and are investigating.

Sangamesh is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bidar.

The injured Arjun, Prajwal, Pavan, Sangamesh and another individual were rushed to the BRIMS Hospital and another private hospital. Of them, the condition of Arjun and Sangamesh is said to be serious.
