BENGALURU: Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced a non-stop service similar to Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation’s (KSRTC) model, bringing smiles to passengers’ faces.

The ‘Vega Dhoota’ service has started on BMTC’s long-distance routes, reducing travel time by at least 40 minutes and saving time for passengers. Public TV conducted a reality check on a BMTC bus from Kempegowda Bus Station to Devanahalli and passengers, the bus driver, and conductors gave positive feedback about the service.

A woman passenger said that it saves time, and people can reach home earlier than other normal service buses. Another woman passenger said that it saves at least one hour of travel time. “The total number of passengers will be less than other buses, and the plan is really convenient for daily commuters who are coming from distant areas”, she said.

The plan is very convenient and helpful for everyone. It might reduce traffic too, the passengers chorused.
