The rail safety commissioner will conduct a final inspection on July 15 and 16. The BMRCL has received an independent safety assessment report and is awaiting the commissioner’s approval.

Once approved by the Rail Safety Commission, BMRCL will seek permission from the state government to inaugurate the 18.8 km stretch from Bommasandra to RV Road, which will have 16 stations.

The inauguration is likely to happen in the second week of August, according to BMRCL sources.
