BENGALURU: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who reviewed the progress of work on the additional ramp at the Hebbal flyover on Wednesday, has directed the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to complete the entire work by August.
The work has already been delayed and the BDA has missed deadlines though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar had earlier inspected the progress of work. The Deputy CM has now directed the authorities to complete work on the additional ramp by August 15.

The new ramp is integrated with the KR Pura loop and joins Ballari Road near Baptist Hospital. It is expected to reduce traffic coming from Nagawara side on the Outer Ring Road and heading towards Mehkri Circle.
The 700-metre ramp is about 90 per cent complete and has been built on 26 pillars as 25 segments. Ninety nine steel girders have been installed across the section above the railway track and deck casting and road work have been completed from the railway track up to Baptist Hospital.
The authorities claim that the remaining work up to the KR Pura loop will be completed in July or August and hope to open it up for traffic in the coming months.
