BENGALURU: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the central agencies have taken the issue of hoax bomb threats through emails to schools and colleges seriously after repeated threats. The Intelligence Bureau started the investigation and is gathering information from all the states.
The emails, which have been sent to several prestigious schools and colleges across the country, have created panic among the authorities. The IB team has visited the city and is investigating the international email network behind the threats.
The officials are also collecting information about past cases, current cases and investigations into old cases, their progress and where the emails originated from. So far, the IB officials were unable to find an email trail, but now, the officials are seriously working on identifying a possible network.
The investigation has revealed that the emails were sent through VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and IP addresses were changed, making it difficult to track down culprits. The IB team is working to identify the source of the emails and the people behind the threats.
The threats have been taken seriously, especially in the context of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan and the growing threat of terrorism. The central agencies are working to unravel the mystery behind the emails and bring the perpetrators to justice.
