Smoking, drinking among major causes for heart attacks in youngsters

BENGALURU: Thirteen people died after suffering heart attack in a span of one month in Hassan district. This led to suspicions that the Covid vaccine could be the cause of sudden deaths among young people. Therefore, a person named Rajaram had written a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and requested him to investigate.

A team of doctors was assigned by the government to investigate the exact cause of the heart attacks. The team investigated the deaths of 250 people aged between 18 and 45 who died of heart attacks. After a four-month study, the team concluded and that the Covid vaccine was not the cause of heart attacks and prepared a report.

The study found that the causes of death were

  • Smoking
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Family history of heart disease
  • Pre-existing medical conditions
  • Consumption of gutka and other tobacco products

The doctors have collected medical reports of each of the deceased and recorded the statements of the family members before preparing the report. The doctors have stated that the Covid vaccine is not responsible for the deaths and the report will be submitted to the government soon.
