BENGALURU: Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has ordered the suspension of a bus driver who allegedly tried to run over a young woman who blocked a BMTC bus in Bengaluru. The driver, Prashant, has been suspended.

The incident occurred when the young woman, who was in a car next to the bus, got out and questioned the driver about something, but it’s not clear what the issue was. The situation escalated and the woman blocked the bus at a traffic signal to confront the driver.
The driver, however, tried to knock down the woman, but she narrowly escaped as she stepped away. The bus in question belongs to Depot No. 17, Chandra Layout. The incident took place around 5.40 pm on May 23 and has sparked outrage.
Within 10 minutes of a report being aired on Public TV, the transport minister took swift action and ordered the suspension of the bus driver.
