CHIKKAMAGALUR: A woman, who was married for 10 years, gave a hit job (supari) to her paramour to kill her husband near Karagunda in NR taluk. The deceased is 35-year-old Sudarshan. The woman and two others have since been arrested.
Kamala and Sudarshan fell in love and got married 10 years ago and the couple had two children. However, Kamala had developed a relationship with another man over the years and she got him to get rid of her husband.
Accordingly, Sudarshan was made to drink alcohol spiked with sleeping tablets and when he fell unconscious, he was strangulated to death. The body was dumped near the Karagunda bus station.
The NR Pura police, who had registered a case, have arrested three people apart from Kamala. The murder came to light during questioning. Further investigation is under way.
