BENGALURU: The ongoing Metro and flyover ramp construction work is causing frustration for commuters, who are struggling to get past the Hebbal flyover due to traffic congestion. The KR Pura-Mehkri Circle ramp construction, which began a year ago, is still going on at a snail’s pace.
Despite Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s instructions to complete the work by April-end and open it to public in May during his city tour in February, the project is still far from completion.

Commuters are bearing the brunt of the slow pace of construction, facing kilometre-long traffic jams. It’s likely that they will have to endure this situation for a few more months. The BDA had undertaken the widening of the flyover ramp last year, but the progress is slow and the completion date seems to be slipping further away.
