RAICHUR: The 3rd Additional District and Sessions Court at Lingasugur has handed life imprisonment to 10 convicts in a murder case reported at Hanumagudda Hosur in Lingasugur taluk on January 1, 2019.
The convicts had tricked Amaresh, a resident of the village, to consume pesticide and killed him over a dispute regarding leasing of land for cultivation. The murder was committed by Basappa and nine of his relatives.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 37,500 on each of the accused. The Mudgal police had registered a case and submitted a chargesheet in court.
