RAICHUR: The Raichur Rural police have arrested a notorious burglar, identified as Viresh from LBS Nagar in Raichur, who was involved in house thefts across the district. The police have recovered stolen goods worth Rs 7.89 lakh, including gold and silver ornaments.
The accused had multiple cases registered against him in different police stations in Raichur. With his arrest, the police recovered 76 grams of gold ornaments, 382 grams of silver ornaments, watches, cameras and other stolen items worth Rs 7.89 lakh.
The stolen goods were recovered from thefts committed in Raichur Rural, Manvi, and Sindhanur police station jurisdictions. The police are searching for other accused involved in the case. The police team that cracked the case was rewarded and honoured by SP Puttamadaiah.
