BENGALURU: The police have arrested a man for allegedly suffocating his wife to death in Basaveshwaranagar police limits.
The arrested accused, Lokesh Kumar, was living with his wife and son. However, their marital life was marred by frequent quarrels over small issues.
According to the police, Lokesh Kumar allegedly suffocated his wife to death two days ago. To conceal the crime, he buried her body in a park in Basaveshwarnagar, and he was absconding. The police arrested Lokesh Kumar after discovering the body.
The accused, who is originally from Rajasthan, has admitted to the crime, stating that he wanted to escape the constant harassment from his wife’s nagging. The police are now investigating the case further and gathering more evidence.
