HASSAN: Four people, including three of a family, died while one was seriously injured when their car crashed into a container truck from behind. The family was returning after visiting Tirupati when the accident occurred.
The impact of the crash was such that the roof of the car was copletely ripped off. The family hails from Sabbanahalli village in Channarayapatna taluk. The deceased include Rajanish (36), his wife Sahana (32) their son Lekhana (12) and the car driver. Rajanish’s mother Geethamma is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Tirupati.
Rajanish and his family were living in Bengaluru and had set out for Tirupati in their Maruti Ertiga car with a hired driver. The accident occurred when they were returning on Tuesday. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the relatives after post-mortem examination on Tuesday evening and the last rites of the family members were conducted at Sabbanahalli on Wednesday.
