DAVANAGERE: A man was fined Rs 25,000 by the traffic police for letting his minor son ride a two-wheeler without a licence. The incident occurred near ARG Colony here.
A resident of Uttam Chand Extension here had given his two-wheeler to his minor son. However, the youth was intercepted by Davanagere South traffic inspector Nelavagalu Manjunath and Sub-Inspector Nirmala.
Upon checking the youth’s age, it was revealed that he was a minor and hence, the father was fined Rs 25,000. The police warned the parent that an FIR would be filed against him in case of a repeat offence.
