CHIKKAMAGALUR: A man was arrested for stocking a huge amount of explosives illegally at his house at Kallugundi Venkateshwara Layout in Kadur. The arrested individual was identified as Venkatesh.
The Internal Security Division police of Chikkamagalur raided the house and found 388 tubes of gelatin paste and 250 feet of fuse wire. The explosives are used to conduct blasts at stone quarries.
A case has been registered at the Kadur police station and further investigation is under way.
