CHIKKABALLAPUR: Two sisters died after falling into an agricultural pond at Kurapalli village in Chelur taluk of Chikkaballapur district. The deceased have been identified as Radha (17) and Sahiti (14).
As it was summer vacation, the sisters were working on the farm with their mother. Then they went to fix a pipe installed inside the pond where they accidentally slipped and fell into it.
The mother, a single parent, was completely devastated by the deaths of her two daughters. The Chelur police visited the spot and registered a case.
