BENGALURU: Major flyovers in the city will remain closed to traffic from 11 pm on Friday till 6 am on Saturday on account of the all-night namaz on the 26th day of the holy month of Ramzan.
The flyovers which will be closed to traffic are those at KR Market, Richmond Road, Peenya, Hebbal among others. The measure has been taken to prevent youths from speeding and popping wheelies, police sources said.
In the past, several accidents have occurred due to speeding and popping wheelies, leading to loss of lives. Hence, as a precautionary measure, the flyovers in the city will be closed to traffic through the night, the sources added.
