KSRTC announces 2,000 special buses from March 28 to 30 to deal with Ugadi rush

BENGALURU: In view of Ugadi festival on March 30, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate over 2,000 additional buses to accommodate the festival rush. Special buses will ply from Majestic, Satellite, Shantinagar and Peenya bus stations to various parts of the state from March 28 to 30.

All of KSRTC’s luxury buses, including Airavata and sleeper coaches, will be available. Buses will operate from Majestic, Shantinagar, Satellite and Peenya bus stations.

Special buses will operate after the festival is over, and there will be government buses for passengers returning on March 31. KSRTC buses are available across the state and also interstate.

From Majestic Bus Station:

Special buses will operate to Dharmasthala, Sringeri, Horanadu, Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Shivamogga, Gokarna and Karwar. Additional buses will also operate to Hubballi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Vijayapura, and Yadgir in North Karnataka. Buses will also ply to Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad in neighbouring states.

From Satellite Bus Station:

Buses will operate to all parts of the Mysuru region, including Mandya, Ramanagara, Kushalanagar, Chamarajanagara, Madikeri, Virajpet, and Periyapatna.

From Shantinagar Bus Station:

Special buses will operate to Tamil Nadu and Kerala, including Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Calicut.

Passengers can book tickets in advance and avail a 10 per cent discount. Additionally, a 5 per cent discount will be offered for group bookings of four or more passengers. Tickets can be booked on the KSRTC official portal.
