Tejaswini committed suicide after she was caught copying in an exam.

BAGALKOT: A first-year PUC student committed suicide by jumping into a lake after she was caught copying and the college authorities informed her parents, in Mudhol on February 28. The deceased is Tejaswini Doddamani (17) and her body was found on Sunday.

On February 27, Tejaswini, a student of Sharada PU College, was caught copying in the exam and her parents were informed about it. The next day, the parents arrived at the college and sought proof when they were shown CCTV footage.

At the same time, Tejaswini headed out of the college and committed suicide by jumping into the Maharani lake. She was caught on CCTV camera leaving the college. When the parents did not find her, they filed a missing person’s complaint with the Mudhol police. On Sunday, the body was found floating in the lake and was fished out.
