Thieves steal over Rs 30 lakh after breaking open ATM with gas cutter

BENGALURU: Thieves stole over Rs 30 lakh after breaking into a State Bank of India ATM, using a gas cutter at Sulibele, Devanahalli Cross. The thieves sprayed paint on the CCTV camera to avoid detection and used a gas cutter to cut through the ATM’s shutter.

The thieves arrived in a car with an Andhra Pradesh registration number and escaped via the Hoskote road.

Bengaluru Rural SP C K Baba and fingerprint experts from the FSL team visited the spot and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered at the Sulibele police station and police are on the lookout for the thieves.
