BENGALURU: A man was arrested by the Chamarajpet police for making an obscene gesture at a fellow motorist, who is the chief secretary of youth Congress. The accused Harsha was arrested in connection with the incident which occurred near Gopalan Mall around 4 pm on Wednesday.
Akshata Ravikumar, who is the chief secretary of youth Congress and was travelling in another car, lodged a complaint against the car driver. The accused was driving a car with the number plate KA 41 9191 and was not following traffic rules. When she questioned him, he used abusive language and made an obscene gesture. The man also allegedly abused her.
After abusing her, despite the red traffic signal, he proceeded to take an illegal U-turn at a no-U-turn zone, completely ignoring traffic regulations.
Akshata Ravikumar stated that she had recorded the incident on her mobile phone and had posted it on social media. The Chamarajpet police have registered a case and have asked her to visit the station to provide more information.
