BENGALURU: A nine-year-old girl died after she was run over by a water tanker at Shivlingaiah Colony HAL Road on Wednesday. The incident occurred when the tanker driver, who was supplying water to a building, failed to notice the child playing on the road and ran over her.
The victim Anushree was the daughter of a labourer couple from Kalaburagi. The police have sent the body to a local hospital for post-mortem examination and taken up further investigation. The Jeevan Bima Nagar traffic police visited the spot.
