BENGALURU: The city traffic police conducted a driver against drunk driving over the last one week and registered cases against 803 people for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The traffic police also registered 94 cases for speeding, and collected Rs 10 lakh in fines. Also, 7,721 cases were registered for illegal parking and Rs 38, 85,000 was collected in fines.
In all, 56,994 vehicles were checked last week. The traffic police said legal action will be initiated against those who were found to be driving while drunk.
