DAVANAGERE: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted continuously by a teacher at a government school in the city. The incident came to light after the girl fell ill and was admitted to a hospital two days ago.
The teacher had allegedly threatened the girl not to disclose about the abuse to anyone. Two days ago, the girl fell and was hospitalised where doctors found that she had been sexually assaulted.
Following this, the parents of the girl lodged a complaint with the women’s police station. The teacher has since been arrested and booked under the POCSO Act. The victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
