7 secure jobs at IWST through impersonation, FIR registered

BENGALURU: Seven individuals have been accused of cheating in the recruitment exam of the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) in Bengaluru. The candidates allegedly used impersonators to write the exam and obtained government jobs.

The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) conducted an internal investigation and found discrepancies in the documents submitted by the candidates. The investigation revealed that the signatures on the documents did not match, and the photos and CCTV footage did not match the candidates.

The ICFRE has filed a complaint with the police, and an FIR has been registered against the seven accused at Sadashivnagar police station. The police are searching for the accused.

The ICFRE had conducted the exam, and the investigation found that the candidates had used impersonators to take the exam. The council has handed over the evidence to the police, and further investigation is under way.
