BENGALURU: With the addition of a 6th train set on the Yellow Line on Tuesday, Namma Metro passengers got some relief as the waiting of 15 minutes has been reduced slightly. The new train set arrived from Kolkata’s Titagarh company and started operations from 6 am on Tuesday.

From Monday to Saturday, peak hour services will run every 13 minutes instead of 15 minutes. On Sundays, peak hour frequency will remain 15 minutes. There is no change in first and last train timings from the RV Road and Bommasandra terminals.

The 19.15 km Yellow Line needs more trains for full operation. The Titagarh company will supply eight more train sets, likely by March 2026.
