SHIVAMOGGA: In an inhuman act, a 67-year-old woman was tied to a pole and assaulted by three people after she questioned them about disposing garbage in front of her house, at Gautamapura in Sagar taluk on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Huchchamma, a resident of Gautamapura. Based on her complaint, the Anandapura police have registered an FIR against Prema, Manjunath and Darshan. Further investigation is under way.
Her son said he was away in Bengaluru when the incident occurred. “If any such instance recurs, the trio should be held responsible. We have sought for justice and protection for my parents from the neighbouring tenants and the house owner”.
