BENGALURU: A 64-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot after being hit by a rashly driven car at RMV Extension in the city on Wednsday evening. The victim, Chandrashekhar Reddy, a lawyer, was tossed in the air due to the impact.
The accident involved a Maruti Ciaz car driven by Shishir Sudhir Patil, a 19-year-old BE first-semester student. The car collided with a stationary Maruti Ertiga car, injuring a young man and woman inside.
Locals rescued the injured duo and took them to the hospital. A case has been registered at Sanjaynagar traffic police station.
