6 arrested after cement factory worker’s body dragged on road in Kalaburagi district

The body was dragged on the road by other workers and dumped outside the cement factory.

KALABURAGI: Six people have been arrested after the body of a labourer, who had died due to low blood pressure and heart attack, was dragged by other workers at a cement factory at Kodla village in Sedam taluk two days ago.

Chandan Singh (35), who hailed from Bihar, had collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack due to low blood pressure at the Shree Cement factory. Some of the other workers had dragged his body outside the factor and dumped it.

Other workers had brought the body back and staged protest.

However, a group of workers brought the body back into the premises and staged a protest. Police Superintendent Adduru Srinivasulu said the police registered a suo motu case following the incident and arrested Hyder Ali, Ayaz, Ravishankar, Harinder, Ramesh Chandra and Akhilesh under various sections of the BNNS Act.
